VILLAGE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (LACIM):

LACIM REPRESENTATIVES VISIT:

Mrs.POUILLY and Mrs. Domonifue of Lacim representatives were visited the Indo Trust office along with Mr. Denish Kumar, Namakkal.

 Visit to Thenoor village:

The Representatives were visited Thenoor village. The women self help groups members, members of farmers clubs and other Thenoor friends were gave a special welcome to visitors. The people were discussed about the positive changes and developments after implementation of the Lacim program in Thenoor. The farmers told that they got so many benefits through Lacim programs such as;

  1. Mushroom culture
  2. Vermi Compost
  3. Horticulture plantation
  4. Bio-gas plant
  5. Compost pit
  6. Loan for goat rearing and cattle rearing and

The visitors directly went to the agriculture field and they were seen the cultivation. They were discussed with the members those who were provided with loan for milk animals; they were seen the animals and asked about the changes in their lives.

School Program:

The representatives were visited the school. The headmaster, teachers and school children were welcomed the visitors. The notebooks, pencils and other things were distributed to 150 children’s.

We have given Cow (Milk Animal) for 5 members and now they earn money from that dairy project.

Distribution of School Uniform, Note Books

Through this programme, we were distributed school uniforms to 55 Students and notebooks for 30 students; all these students are coming from poor family background.

 

 Micro Credit Program:

In this year we gave revolving fund for one self help group with Rs.5000/=. There are 10 people were benefited through this fund. Still now we have distributed Rs.15, 000/- to the women group members and now they are repaying the loan regularly without fail.
