HIV/AIDS Program:

a. Tamil Nadu Family Care Continuum Programme (TNFCC )

The Tamil Nadu Family Care Continuum Programme for HIV positive families being implemented by Tamil Nadu State AIDS Control Society (TANSACS). The Three year programme was initiated by TANSACS in September 2005 with support from CIFF and technical assistance from SAATHII through accelerating the provision of

comprehensive care, support, and treatment services, including antiretroviral therapy to families infected and affected by HIV/AIDS, the programme aim to,

  • Prevent children from being orphaned,
  • Reduce HIV related mortality and morbidity among adults and children
  • Improve the quality of the infected individual and their families

b. TNVHA Network Program:

YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (IRISH):

This is a Tamil Nadu Voluntary Health Association (TNVHA) sponsored program. The prime objective of the program is giving sexual and health education for selected youth’s of the villages. Under this project we have implemented this program in 5 villages with 100 youth’s. We gave awareness education on adolescent stage, body changes in this period, psychological changes and behavioral changes.

TB Programme:

Under this program we gave awareness and training program on communicable diseases especially T.B. and training on disaster management also given to the youth groups. There are 10 groups were covered under this program.
