WOMEN AND CHILD DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM:

a. Minority Women Development Program:

We the Indo Trust are doing more welfare activities for minority women of Perambalur district. It is a network program; we are working with seven organizations throughout the state. It is sponsored by Centre for World Solidarity, Hyderabad. We have formed 25 minority women self help groups with 377 members. The total savings of the groups are Rs. 2, 96,000. We have also conducted capacity building training program for the staff’s of seven partner organizations. We the Indo Trust are working as a nodal and state convener for this project. So we have monitored and evaluated all this seven organizations in this year. We have conducted two review meetings for these seven organizations. We have working 59 villages 11 Blocks 7 districts in Tamilnadu. We have formed totally 109 Self Help groups with 1787 members the total savings of the groups is Rs. 20, 55,990.

 

 b. Quarries for Released Bonded Stone Cutters Women:

Indo Trust is working for the welfare of released bonded Labourers of Perambalur district. We have formed 35 women self help groups with 630 members for released bonded Labourers. Out of this 35, there are 10 groups are running stone quarries for lease from the government. Now there are 1500 people are getting employment opportunities from this quarries. The Indo Trust was behind them for all their success.
